NEWS FROM INTERNATIONAL AGENCIES
The significance of cereals both as staple foods
and trade commodities, as well as the serious health implications
of DON contamination,were reflected in the committee’s recommendations.
Members noted that while preventing DON contamination
is not presently achievable, the consumer’s risk of DON exposure
could be minimized by implementing GAP.
