NEWS FROM INTERNATIONAL AGENCIES

The Instituto Nacional de Tecnologia Agropecuaria (INTA) has received EU funding to begin developing a mycotoxin control system for the corn and wheat production and processing chains in the Southern Cone. This cooperative initiative is being coordinated by the Centre de Coopération Internationale en Recherche Agronomique pour Développement (CIRAD), located in France,with the participation of the National Universities of Lujan and Buenos Aires, several Latin American research institutes, and the Natural Resources Institute of Great Britain.The primary aim of the project is to limit aflatoxin-related economic losses and improve the competitiveness of Latin American–traded cereals.
