Future Symposia and Conferences

The World Mycotoxin Forum has announced the program and registration details of its fourth international networking conference for the food and feed industry. The November 6–8, 2006, event will feature plenary, parallel, and poster sessions; workshops; and a concurrent exhibition of the latest mycotoxin test kits and analysis technologies. An overview of current scientific views and the evolving regulatory scene will open the conference. The subsequent schedule of parallel sessions offers a wide variety of choices for attendees in every branch of the mycotoxin field. Session topics will range from the impact of mycotoxins on the food supply chain and animal health to mycotoxin testing, prevention, and management. Investigations into mycotoxin occurrence in herbs and spices, infection control in the dairy industry, and rapid detection with biosensors will be among the groundbreaking case studies presented on the first day of the program. In addition to workshops on structural genomics of mycotoxigenic fungi and mycotoxin detection and inactivation, the conference will include a subsession on analytic quality assurance. The closing plenary session will address future strategies for solving the mycotoxin problem.

The conference will take place at the Hilton Cincinnati Netherlands Plaza Hotel in Cincinnati, Ohio. More information on the conference program and registration is available on the following website: http://www.bastiaanse-communication.com/html/upcoming.html
