Codes of good agricultural practices for the reduction of Fusarium toxins and ochratoxin A (OTA), the two major classes of mycotoxins of concern for Britain’s cereals, have been published on the UK Food Standards Agency website (http://www.food.gov.uk). In addition to providing current European OTA regulations and guidelines for risk assessment,“The UK Code of Good Storage Practice to Reduce Ochratoxin A in Cereals” details various good storage practices, including optimal drying and cooling procedures.
